DESCRIPTION:East Meets West Retreat Scheduled for September 24-25\nThe Eighth Annual East Meets West Retreat of Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke Ukrainian Catholic Mission will be held Friday\, September 24\, and Saturday\, September 25\, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Arden\, North Carolina. \nThe retreat features a Moleben to the Mother of God\, Searcher for the Lost\, prayer of the Hours\, Vespers\, Compline\, and conferences focusing on the spiritual counsels of Saint Dorotheos of Gaza\, Saint Nicodemos of the Holy Mountain\, philosopher Jean-Claude Larchet\, and others. \nThe conferences\, presented by Fr. Kevin Bezner and Fr. Deacon Matthew Hanes\, will include material for reflection on the fear of God\, vigilance and sobriety\, and the dangers of social media and liberalism for society\, the family\, and the soul. The retreat is free and open to all. No registration is required.
