With sorrow in our hearts we bring the sad news that on April 12, 2021, after a serious illness, Mrs. Vera Shevchuk, the mother of His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC, and Reverend Vsevolod Shevchuk, the priest of Saint Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy, passed away. Mrs. Vera died in Stryi at the age of 74.

Parastas will take place at the memorial chapel of Ss. Volodymyr and Olha in Strij at 7:00 PM Ukrainian time (Noon Eastern Daylight Time). Funeral services will be celebrated on April 13 at 11:00 AM Ukrainian Time (4:00 am Eastern Daylight Time).

Зі смутком у серці та молитвою на устах повідомляємо, що 12 квітня 2021 року після важкої недуги відійшла до Дому Небесного Отця п. Віра Шевчук, мама Блаженнішого Святослава, Отця і Глави УГКЦ. & Father Vsevolod Shevchuk Пані Віра померла у Стрию на 74 році життя.

Сьогодні о 19:00 в поминальній каплиці храму Святих Володимира і Ольги м. Стрия (вул. Григорія Коссака, 7а) відбудеться Парастас. Похоронні богослужіння розпочнуться завтра, 13 квітня, об 11:00 у храмі Святих Володимира і Ольги.
