On Tuesday, May 16th, a special visit took place at the Papal Ukrainian College of Saint Josaphat. Bishop Bohdan Danylo, the Bishop of the Parma Eparchy of Saint Josaphat of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the United States, visited the college. The bishop joined the collegial community in prayer during the Liturgy, and his visit brought a sense of profound significance.
During his time with the students, Bishop Bohdan delivered a heartfelt message emphasizing the importance of embracing and living the reality of Christ’s Resurrection. He urged the students to share this transformative experience with others, drawing inspiration from the story of the two disciples on their journey to Emmaus. The bishop acknowledged the unique role these students would play in their future ministry, particularly in the healing of the wounds inflicted by war upon the Ukrainian people. He encouraged them to let the joy of Christ’s Resurrection and His abiding presence guide them in their future service.
Father Louis Kasiyan, the college’s rector, expressed deep gratitude to Bishop Bohdan on behalf of the students for his visit. He assured the bishop of their continuous prayers for him and his episcopal ministry, underscoring the profound impact the bishop’s presence had on the college community.
The visit of Bishop Bohdan Danylo to the Papal Ukrainian College of Saint Josaphat was a truly meaningful and inspiring event.
