His Beatitude Sviatoslav Congratulates Bishop Bohdan Danylo on the 30th Anniversary of His Priesthood

The Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, personally and on behalf of the Synod of Bishops, congratulated Bishop Bohdan Danylo, Eparch of Parma and Chairman of the UGCC Patriarchal Commission for Clergy, on the 30th anniversary of his priesthood.

The greeting notes that Bishop Bohdan’s priestly ordination, which he received through the hands of the late Bishop Basil Losten, Eparch of Stamford, marked the beginning of his service to the Church.

“Since then, the Lord has entrusted you with various ministries, through which you were able to share your gifts, knowledge, and experience for the good of God’s people.”

His Beatitude Sviatoslav also noted Bishop Bohdan’s years of service in the Stamford Eparchy. There, he served as prefect and procurator of Saint Basil the Great Seminary. After completing his studies in Rome, he served as its rector.

“Through your dedication, wisdom, and fatherly care, you contributed to the spiritual and intellectual formation of many future ministers of Christ’s Church. For all your labors for His glory, we express our sincere gratitude, deep respect, and appreciation,” emphasized the Head of the UGCC.

His Beatitude then wished Bishop Bohdan abundant blessings from God, together with the light and strength of the Holy Spirit in all his endeavors, “for the glory of God and the good of our Church.”
