Ref. VA 26/344
DECREE
MAJOR ARCHBISHOP OF KYIV-HALYCH
SVIATOSLAV
TO THE VERY REVEREND FATHER
Andrew Hanovsky
Parish Priest of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Cleveland, Ohio
PEACE BE WITH YOU IN THE LORD!
Recognizing your zeal for the glory of God and the good of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, we sincerely thank you for your many years of fruitful priestly ministry, which has become an example for your brother priests.
In particular, we wish to honor your selfless service as pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, which actively fosters spiritual life through catechetical, youth, and social outreach.
We also highly value your faithful work as a chaplain of Plast, a member of the Presbyteral Council, secretary of the Pension Fund, and dean of the Western Deanery of the Saint Josaphat Eparchy.
Following your example, two students from the parish school entered the path to priesthood. Your constant help for all who have suffered from the war in Ukraine deserves special thanks.
FOR ALL THIS, WE OFFER YOU OUR HEARTFELT THANKS
AND EXPRESS OUR RECOGNITION AND PRAISE.
Having heard the opinion of the Most Reverend Bishop Bohdan, Eparch of Parma, and taking into account your many services to the Church of Christ and your authority among God’s people,
WE HEREBY APPOINT YOU
MITRED ARCHPRIEST
AND GRANT YOU THE RIGHT TO WEAR THE MITER.
May the merciful Lord richly reward you with his gifts, giving you strength and zeal to live in holiness and love for him, and to continue serving faithfully for the glory of God.
THE LORD’S BLESSING BE UPON YOU!
+ SVIATOSLAV
