Tomorrow, Pope Francis, joined by Bishops all over the world, will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We encourage everyone to join us and the countless other apostolates and ministries praying earnestly for an end to the violence in Ukraine. We have friends in Ukraine at the Catholic University who are housing refugees, providing medical aid, and humanitarian support while bombs continue to fall nearby. We have friends in Poland who are working 24 hours a day to welcome the millions fleeing from the war. And yes, we have friends in Russia who are suffering under an increasingly totalitarian government. It is not a time for panic or despair, it is truly a time to unite together in prayer.
We encourage you to watch this short video below from our dear friend in Poland, Maciej Bodasinski. Starting this evening through the weekend Churches in Poland joined by others around the world will spend time before the Blessed Sacrament praying for an end to the violence in Ukraine.
Please spend some time in front of the Blessed Sacrament tonight or through the weekend in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Eastern Europe praying for an end to violence in Ukraine and that God would spare us from another world war.
