Danylo, the Bishop of the St. Josaphat Eparchy.
The liturgical celebration took place on the Feast of The Presentation of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a fitting day for Deacon Bohdan’s ordination. The church was filled with clergy, faithful parishioners, and well-wishers who gathered to witness this significant milestone.
In his native Ukrainian language, Deacon Bohdan expressed profound gratitude during the ordination ceremony:
“Дякую Богові за дар покликання до священства!” (Thank you, God, for the gift of the priesthood!)

Deacon Bohdan also expressed gratitude to Metropolitan Vasilii for his prayers and blessings, as well as to Bishop Volodymyr Firman and Bishop Teodor Martyniuk for their unwavering support.
He recognized the guidance and spiritual nurturing provided by Father Ivan Rymar, the rector, and the seminary prefects from both the seminary and Zarvanytsia. Their mentorship played a crucial role in his journey toward priesthood.
Deacon Bohdan extended heartfelt appreciation to Father Mykhaylo Drozdovskyy for his fatherly acceptance. He also thanked his wife, Olesya Nasypana, parents, godparents, sister Lesya Rudik, and in-laws for their unwavering support.
To his friends and fellow seminarians, Deacon Bohdan offered words of gratitude:
“Дякую усім друзям та однокурсникам, які вірили у мене і завжди підтримують!” (Thank you to all friends and classmates who believed in me and continue to support me!)
Finally, he invoked blessings upon those who pray for him and upon the communities he will serve:
“Хай Бог благословить усіх хто молиться за мене і до кого я буду посланий на служіння! Моліться і надалі щоб я був добрим священиком та щоб через моє служіння ширилося Слово Боже усюди де люди спраглі Бога!” (May God bless all who pray for me and to whom I will be sent in service! Pray that I may be a good priest and that through my ministry, the Word of God may spread wherever people thirst for Him!)
As Deacon Bohdan Nasypanyi embarks on his priestly vocation, let us join in prayerful support, celebrating the gift of his ministry and anticipating the abundant grace he will bring to the faithful.
May his journey be marked by compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith, as he carries the light of Christ to a world hungering for God’s love.
