On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the faithful of the Western Deanery and the Greater Cleveland area gathered at Saint Josaphat Cathedral in Parma for a Moleben of Thanksgiving.
More than 150 people came together that bright Sunday afternoon for confession, prayer, quiet reflection, and the solemn Moleben service.
Bishop Danylo was joined by Very Reverend Canon Andrew Hanowski, dean of the Western Deanery; Very Reverend Archpriest Volodymyr Hrytsiuk, rector of Saint Josaphat Cathedral; Father Ihor Kasiyan, pastor of Saint Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church; and Father Bohdan Nasypanyi, assistant pastor at Pokrova Parish in Parma.
In his sermon, Bishop Danylo called the faithful “Pilgrims of Hope.” In a time marked by hardship, conflict, and the shadow of war—especially in Ukraine—he reminded all that Saint Paul’s words in Galatians 5:5 still ring true: Hope does not disappoint.
The community prayed together for peace in Ukraine. The service closed with a heartfelt singing of “God Bless America,” honoring the veterans who stand in defense of freedom.
